Take time to play with your staff and your team members! Play is one of the best ways to bring people together to develop a team and enjoy one another even more.
One of my favorite team building activities is to duct tape a team member to the wall! It’s absolutely hilarious!
Simply divide the group into two groups, so long as there is at least 4 people per group. Each group is then given 3 rolls of duct tape with the goal of figuring out how to tape one of their team members to the wall. The secondary goal is to see who can get their person to stay stuck to the wall with tape the longest.
This is an absolutely hilarious and interesting way for the team to work together so that they can tape somebody to the wall and learn a lot about each other in the process.
Note: One thing you want to think about is what wall that you will be using to tape people. Some surfaces will not be a good idea, so choose carefully. You don’t want your facilities guy getting on your case for leaving duct tape marks on the walls!
Make sure you take lots of photos because this will be a hilarious activity that you’ll want to remember for a long time to come. I’d love to see your taped team members, so send me an email with the photo of your taped team member.
No matter what you do, just play with your team! Have a great time!
