I am a big fan of bullet journaling.
What is bullet journaling, you say? Well, Google says: The Bullet Journal is an analog system created by Ryder Carroll, a Designer based in New York. In his words, the Bullet Journal is meant “to help you track the past, organize the present, and plan for the future.” It’s an amazing system that keeps a record of everything you could ever want to toss at it.
I love bullet journaling because it gives me the freedom to create journal pages that work for what I want to journal about.
For example, if I’m at church, there are different types of things I want to make notes about from the speakers, Sunday School bible insights, etc. But, when I’m journaling to process personal trials or successes, I want the freedom to use the journal pages in a way that supports my creative and historian urges.
In this episode of The Inspired Life Podcast, I get into a bunch of ideas of how you can add journaling to your personal prayer time to have a much more in depth experience with the spirit.
Want to get started with bullet journaling? Here are my favorite products that can easily be found on Amazon:
Leuchtturm1917 is the best journal, in my humble opinion! I love the hard cover and 200+ dotted pages gives you plenty of room to write, draw and explore your heart and mind on the journal pages. I have tried other journals too, but this version is the one that I love the best and always recommend! I have bought different colors over the years, so I appreciate that they offer these journals in a variety of colors.
You’ll want good pens to add color and interest to your journal pages. These Erin Condren pens are my favorites because the color doesn’t bleed through the other side of the page as much as other pens. They have dual tips, which make for great writing and also drawing. Erin Condren’s pens are quite popular and you can buy in color packs like this one – which was my first pack of pens from her line.
A fun way to add a little joy and color and pattern to your journal pages is by using washi tape. I have a pretty big collection of washi tape now because of purchasing washi tape variety packs like this one from Ninico.
Get started today with the journal, pens and washi tape showcased above… and get ready to deepen your inspiration and enjoyment of journaling today!
